  • How do I schedule a tour of the facility?

    Private tours are offered Tuesday -Thursday based on our event schedule. Please schedule your tour in advance via phone or email.

  • Do we have to use your required vendors?

    Yes, we have a list of Required catering, bar, rentals, and planner services. All vendors working in or making deliveries to Union Hall must be licensed and insured and approved by the City of Raleigh.

  • How many people can your venue hold?

    Grand Hall – 700+ standing / 300+ seated

    Terrace - 250 standing

  • Where do guests and visitors park?

    Event parking is allowed in The Dillon’s paid parking deck across from Union Hall, or in designated street parking spots.

  • What is the Rental Price?

    Prices depend on what area of Union Hall you plan on renting. Packages start at $4,500.

  • Is a deposit required to hold the space?

    Yes. A deposit is due at booking. No dates are held without this payment and a signed rental agreement. All payments are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the event date.

  • Do we need security?

    Security is required for events where alcohol is served. One off-duty RPD officer per every 150 people is required. Events of 400 people or more will require crowd control even if no alcohol is being served.

  • Do we need to rent furniture when having an event?

    Union Hall provides tables and chairs to comfortably seat 200 people. If more tables, chairs, and/or specialty rentals are needed we ask you to use our required vendors.

  • Are my guests able to smoke during the event?

    Smoking is NOT permitted inside Venue. Outdoor smoking is only permitted if it takes place at least 25 feet away from the Venue structure.

  • Do you accept LGBTQ+ weddings and events?

    We welcome all guests and couples. Love is Love.

  • Is Union Hall handicap accessible?

    Yes. We are conveniently located at street level, with easy access to loading zones at our main entrance for parking and unloading of guests or equipment. Our main level is fully accessible and includes handicapped accessible restrooms.

  • Are other events scheduled on the same day?

    Union Hall will not schedule concurrent events on the same day.

  • Are there restrictions on décor?

    We ask that you do not use raw rice, feathers, pampas grass (flower), confetti, glitter, helium-filled balloons, smoke, and/or bubble machines in the venue.

  • Does Union Hall provide a multi-cultural event experience?

    Our venue team has a wonderful list of event planners who are experienced with multicultural events. We look forward to pairing couples with the right planner to help create their dream day. Whether it’s your Mehndi, Reception, Bar Mitzvah, Quinceañera, or even your Haldi Ceremony – we welcome you!

  • Can I book the Terrace separately?

    The terrace is available to book 30 days out from your event. Please reach out through our contact form for details.
